Signs a Body Detox is Necessary

  1. Lack of Energy

If you’re consistently getting a 7- to 8-hour sleep, but you still doesn’t feel rested, then it might be time to consider getting a detox. The junk that builds up in your system, such as the foods you eat and the air you breathe, is what zaps your energy. By detoxing, you allow your body to flush out these substances, making you feel more energetic. As you detoxify your body, it’s also best to stop drinking coffee and other caffeinated drinks. Not only will these drinks make you feel sluggish, it’ll also leave you crashing once the ‘high’ is over.

  1. Severe Difficulty in Concentrating

Ever find yourself having a difficult time focusing on a task at hand? Then this could be a detox red flag. Apart from concentration problems, having excessive candida fungus in your body also triggers health problems like eczema, yeast infection, and digestive issues. So make it a point to perform a candida cleanse to restore your mind’s concentration and focus.

  1. Problem Losing Weight

Having problems losing weight, despite exercising hard, is another sign that you should go on a body detox. Get rid of the toxins in your body by consuming fresh salad with ingredients like alfalfa sprouts, avocado, carrots, chia seeds, cucumbers, quinoa, spinach, and tomatoes. Also, make your own salad dressing using olive oil, lemon, citrus, fresh herbs, and salt and pepper to have a tasty dressing sans all the artificial colours and flavours. In the process of flushing out the toxins from your body, expect that you’ll drop a few pounds so make sure that you eat a more balanced diet.

  1. Skin Problems

Ever experienced having rashes or acne breakouts for no apparent reason? If so, you may need to look inward to discover why your skin is going through such changes. Are you drinking lots of water? Have you been eating lots of processed foods lately? Are you overindulging in nicotine or alcohol? Are you exposed in an environment where moulds are present, and you breathe in airborne toxins?

If you answer to all of these is yes, then consider undergoing a body detox for a short period of time to see if the symptoms lessen. Excessive toxins in the bodyoften causes skin problems, so try spending lesser time on places that expose you to such toxins.

  1. Difficulty in Sleeping

When our body is loaded with toxins, it struggles to efficiently carry out some of its natural functions. In this case, toxin build-ups make the body produce less melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep and wake cycle. When your body struggles to properly produce this hormone, your sleep cycle becomes thrown off, causing you to find it difficult to fall or stay asleep. Fortunately, going on a body detox can easily fix this problem. Detoxing allows your body to be more in tune with nature and work in its natural state, which then helps in creating a healthy circadian rhythm.

How to Perform a Body Detox

Some of the easy ways to detoxify your body is to steer clear from the harmful chemicals in your household products, and avoid consuming foods with artificial additives. Doing yoga is another wonderful and easy way of having a body detox as it allows every part of the body to compress, stretch and twist. Such movements facilitate the removal of waste products from the tissues and extremities of the body that a simple jog and bike ride in your area in Singapore can’t reach.

It’s no wonder that detoxifying became a part of our daily language. The process offers a great deal of benefits for our mind, body and soul that it became a word known for health and happiness.
